Separation Equipment
Colour Sorting System
The STEINERT FSS colour sorting system can separate out from the material flow particular constituents that are visually different from the rest of the material. The relevant criteria are colour, brightness, granular size and shape.
Induction Sorting System
High volume system that automatically & efficiently separates all metals (or selective metals) from mixed, recyclable product. Works equally well on metal sized from 10 mm to 100 mm.
X-Ray Sorting System
Uses a “Dual Energy” system to determine material density while overcoming the effects of thickness and shape. It “sees” through the pieces, recognising different material densities, different metals, components containing halogens, and organics.
 

Magnetic Equipment
Suspension Magnets
Removes ferrous metal from conveyors at various heights above material. Generally used in mining, quarrying, recycling or anywhere that ferrous metal contaminates conveyed product or may damage processing equipment.
Wet Drum Magnetic Separators
Primarily found in coal preparation plants and heavy media circuits to recover magnetite or ferro-silicon from wet slurries.

Eddy Current Separators
High volume magnetic device that efficiently separates non-ferrous metals from mixed materials. Primarily used for recovering aluminium from domestic waste or shredded metal scrap, but not limited to these applications.
Magnetic Head Pulleys
Will automatically remove ferrous metal contamination from any material being moved via belt conveyor. Replaces traditional head pulley.
Magnetic Drums
Found where recovery of ferrous metal is mixed with other non-ferrous items in any size or volume. Either electro or permanent style to suit application requirement.
High Gradient Magnetic Separator
The High Gradient Magnetic Separator (HGS) is suited to the processing of minerals such as heavy mineral sands, glass sand, ceramic raw materials, salt, slag, fine coal and other fine ores which contain feebly or paramagnetic particles that require separation.
Lifting Magnets
Used to move steel items as a safe material handling option or as a means to convey ferrous parts or scrap metals in large volumes.
Plate Magnets
Installed wherever ferrous metal contaminates product purity or damages process equipment. Food or industrial grade designs are available.
Grate Magnets
Strong permanent magnets that remove ultra-fine ferrous metal from any dry, free-flowing material. Generally used in food processes for protection of end product quality.
High Gradient Magnetic Filter
The treatment of process liquids usually requires a reliable and highly efficent separation of the smallest ferrous particles. The High Gradient Magnetic Filter (HGF) is designed to solve exactly this problem.
Magnetic Traps
Similar to magnetic grates or plates, exept this design caters for pipelines carrying liquid or powder under pressure. Designed for lines from 50 mm to 150 mm diameter, and in tube or plate magnet versions.
Chute Magnets
Designed for materials that do not flow freely, yet need removal of metal contamination in vertical chutes. Internal passage has no restriction to flow.
Magnetic Sweepers
Magnetic plates are designed into various housing configurations that will attract and hold damaging ferrous metal items from roads, athletic fields, car parking areas etc.

Overlapping Bucket Elevators
This item is designed to gently convey any loose, solid material in high volume. Many variations of movement direction. Available with volumes from 5m3 to 200m3 per hour. For industrial or food grade installations.
Vertical Lifts
This design carefully moves packaged items in high volume vertically. Unique design allows up to 50 movements per minute, for integration with automatic conveyors.
Magnetic Elevators
Ferrous metal parts may be moved diagonally or vertically with this permanent magnetic conveyor design. Available in many widths & strengths to suit various material handling issues.
